Common questions

How is travel and transport funded in my NDIS plan?

Transport support sits under Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life (Assist-Travel/Transport). It can be funded to cover both the cost of transport and the cost of a support worker assisting you.

Do you provide the vehicle, or do I need my own?

Our support workers can drive participants in their own vehicles, or assist participants who prefer to use their own car. We discuss the safest and most practical arrangement for you during intake.

Can transport support help me build independence?

Yes. Travel training is a specific type of support focused on gradually building your skills and confidence to use public transport or travel more independently. It's a great capacity-building goal for many participants.

Is transport included in other services like community participation?

Transport can be bundled with community participation supports, or funded separately as a standalone transport support. Your plan structure will determine the best approach — we'll help you understand this.
